Amenities at Sidney Fischer Park

by | Aug 6, 2021 | Summer Vacation

Sidney Fischer Park is an extensive ocean-front park spread across 10-acres. It’s an ideal place to enjoy a weekend picnic or swim in the magnificent Atlantic Ocean. With ample parking and picnic pavilions, a park is a perfect place if you want to escape the city.  Here are all the amenities the park offers.

Access and Location

The Sidney Fisher Park is located on the North Atlantic Avenue at Cocoa Beach. It’s open to the public from 7 am to 7 pm.

The park has a newly paved parking area that can host around 200 cars. People can park their recreational vehicles and cars for as low as $15 a day. If you’re visiting the park for a short time, you can pay for parking per hour, which is $2.5.

The beach and the park are accessible for people with disabilities. As the park is a public place, you don’t have to purchase a ticket to enter.

Available Facilities

The public restrooms are well-stocked and clean. However, they lack proper ventilation. There are many outdoor showers available to wash off the sand from your body and feet.

People coming to the park for picnics can sit by the covered picnic tables, which offer a fantastic beach view and nature.

The park’s location is ideal as it’s close to the restaurants, stores, beach, and bards. If you’re coming with your kids, you can check out the park’s playground.

Beach Access

You can easily access the beach from the park. It’s a short walking distance. The beach has golden sand, and the water is clean. However, you can encounter patches of seaweed while swimming, so keep an eye out for that.

Professional lifeguards are always on duty, so you can swim without worrying as they’ll ensure that you’re safe.

Other Activities

If you’re tired of lying by the beach and enjoying the water, you can take a scenic stroll around the park and relish nature. There are plenty of seashells that you can collect on your way. You’ll also spot some unique birds in the park.
