Arrival at the Kayak Tour Location
As soon as you arrive at the launch site, you’ll spot our Adventure Kayak of Cocoa Beach trailer proudly displaying our logo. It’s your first sign that a good day is ahead. We recommend arriving about 15 minutes early to check in, meet your guide, and get ready to paddle out.
Meet Your Tour Guides
Our guides are the heart of every kayak tour. They’re local, knowledgeable, and genuinely excited to share this amazing area with you. From pointing out wildlife to sharing the history of the Thousand Islands, they’re there every step of the way—both on and off the water.
Kayakers Launching into the Banana River
With your life jacket on and paddle in hand, it’s time to hit the water. Our kayak tours launch directly into the calm, shallow waters of the Banana River, right near the edge of the Thousand Islands. It’s the perfect starting point for an unforgettable paddle.
Paddling the Thousand Islands
Once you’re on the water, it doesn’t take long before you’re surrounded by the natural beauty of Cocoa Beach’s hidden gem—the Thousand Islands. You’ll glide past small mangrove islands, shallow coves, and open stretches of river teeming with life.
Large Tour Kayak Group
Sometimes we host larger kayak tour groups—families, schools, or corporate outings—and the energy is fantastic. Everyone paddling together, laughing, pointing out wildlife—it’s like a floating community. And our guides are right there keeping everything organized and fun.

From above, you can see how the kayaks wind into the narrow mangrove tunnels in the Thousand Islands. It’s one of the most photogenic parts of the experience and gives you a sense of just how special this area really is.
Aerial View: Kayaks Near Dolphins
Often, we get lucky and dolphins appear nearby. From the air, you can see how close the group is while still keeping a respectful distance (two dolphins in the bottom right of this photo). It’s a moment of pure awe, especially for first-time visitors to Florida.
Returning to the Kayak Launch Location
As the tour winds down, we paddle back toward the launch site. The pace is relaxed, and most guests are smiling, chatting, and swapping stories about what they saw. There’s something rewarding about paddling back under your own power, full of fresh memories.
Aerial View of the Thousand Islands
From above, the Thousand Islands area is a winding patchwork of green mangroves and shimmering water. It’s not just beautiful—it’s vital habitat for fish, birds, and countless other species. We’re grateful to paddle here, and even more grateful to share it with people like you.
Why We Call Our Kayak Tours an Adventure
Every kayak tour is a little different—new wildlife sightings, changing weather, different people. That’s the heart of what we do here at Adventure Kayak of Cocoa Beach. It’s not just a paddle. It’s an exploration of one of Florida’s most unique coastal ecosystems, guided by people who truly love it. If you’re looking for something more than just another beach day, come join us on the water. Your next adventure is waiting.
